Penn and Teller, Fool Us is a magic competition television show in which magicians perform tricks before American veteran duo Penn & Teller. Its first two seasons were hosted smoothly by Jonathan Ross, and the 4th season from then on by Fool Us Host Alyson Hannigan.
Every episode begins with an introduction that explains the purpose of the series. Penn & Teller come out and take their seats towards center stage, and the hopeful performers perform their act before them in front of a a live studio audience. Following each performance, Penn & Teller privately discuss the show while the host questions the magicians. Penn & Teller then reveal if they know the method used to perform the trick, usually using cryptic words or by noting down the procedure and presenting it privately to the magicians to confirm, the method, in order to avoid publicly exposing the secrets of the trick.

Fool Us was filmed at Fountain Studios in London, England (season one) and the Penn and Teller Theatre located in Las Vegas (season two onward). Following each show, if Penn & Teller cannot figure out how a trick was performed, the magician(s) who performed it get a Fool Us trophy and a five-star flight in Las Vegas to perform as the opening act in Penn & Teller’s show also at the Rio Hotel & Casino. The 14th season premiered on the 6th of October 2021.
